How durable is TradePex?
The design life of our pipe is in excess of 50 years
when installed in accordance with approved
standards and application. Backed by our 25-year
manufacturer's warranty with supplier backed
support, we’re in for the long haul.
Can I use TradePex to connect to solar
panels?
No. Like all other PEX systems, TradePex mustn’t
be used to connect between a solar panel or other
uncontrolled heat sources outside recommended
working temperatures.
Can I use TradePex pipe that has been
kinked?
No. The damaged section of pipe must be cut out
and replaced. Another job for the apprentice!
Can I connect TradePex to other pipe
systems of a different material?
Yes, we’ve got you sorted. We offer threaded
fittings, brazing adapters, copper flare connectors
and more to enable quick connection to other
pipes.
Is TradePex UV stable?
Short-term exposure to direct sunlight is ok.
Unless sleeved or lagged, TradePex must not be
permanently installed where it will be exposed to
sunlight.
Do I need to use TradePex tools?
TradePex tools are specifically designed for use on
the TradePex system. You must use TradePex pipe
expanders for sleeve joints to ensure the system
is warranted.
Other approved brand tools may be used for crimp
joints, if they meet our high standards. Check with
your local TradePex rep to make sure you’re
covered.
