Tracking your Tradelink deliveries is about to get easier!

Great news if you’re a frequent user of Tradelink’s delivery service. On Monday 30 July we will be launching new enhancements to our trade delivery service that will make it easier for you to track the progress of your order and access Proof of Delivery information.

Tradelink’s Head of Operations South, David Press said the delivery improvements were designed to complement Tradelink’s promise to have orders delivered within 2 hours, which is one of the six extended Customer Service Promises that we launched in September 2016.

“Our Customer Service Promises have been around for a couple of years and the delivery service changes are about enhancing that and giving customers real time delivery information to help them better plan their day. It’s all about improving our customer’s service experience and giving them greater visibility over where their orders are,” said David.

The delivery improvements include a new delivery tracking application on Tradedoor – Tradelink’s online account management tool – where account holders can view live progress of their delivery on a map which features an estimate for the time of delivery. Account holders can access TradeDoor on both their smart phone and computer, making it simple and easy to access the delivery tracker whether they are in the office or on site.

Along with the delivery tracker, we have made a number of enhancements to our delivery service’s SMS communications. With the existing system, an SMS would be sent to the nominated delivery contact once their order is next in queue for delivery. This SMS now also includes an estimated time of arrival to help you to prepare for the delivery. Customers who opt in to this feature will also now receive an SMS once the delivery vehicle has arrived on site.

Another new feature that has been added to the delivery service is a delivery feedback survey customers can fill in upon receiving their goods. The survey asks customers to rate their driver on a 5 point scale and offers the option to provide comment on their service.

“Customers can now give us feedback at point of delivery, which we can track and monitor. It’s another way we are enhancing our Customer Service Promises and taking them to the next level,” said David.

The delivery service enhancements also offer improved access to Proof of Delivery information. Once the order has been delivered, TradeDoor account holders can download Proof of Delivery information from TradeDoor up to 24 hours after delivery. The Proof of Delivery displays information including location, time and date of delivery along with signature if received and photos of the delivery location if there was nobody available to receive the order at the time of delivery.

The delivery improvements, along with Tradelink’s extended Customer Service Promises, customer loyalty program Tradelink Rewards and bold network upgrade strategy are just some of the ways the we are working to improve our offering and service to you!

The new Tradelink delivery service enhancements will be live from Monday!

Art Plastics: solving problems for plumbers

Anyone who knows Art Plastics knows them as a great Aussie owned supplier that is leading the way when it comes to developing plumbing fittings that solve everyday problems for plumbers around the country. Of course, homeowners love them too because their products not only do the job well, they make a bathroom look good.

Art Plastics’ Bounty Brassware range is leading the way right here in Oz. It’s also turning heads in other countries around the world, especially the patented Bermuda Tile Insert Floor Waste range.

Now, if imitation is the greatest form of flattery then the team at Art Plastics are surely blushing. There might be plenty of copies out there, but it’s the Bermuda Floor Waste range that remains the first choice for architects, builders, plumbers, tilers and renovators. After all, no one wants to settle for second best.

The most recent ‘gamechanger’ from the Bounty Brassware range is the ‘World’s First Pop Down® Waste’. This patented range of outlets is bonza for every basin and bath. When the waste is open in the flush position, the Pop Down® looks schmick whilst the water simply disappears.

The floating Pop Down® cartridge carries a lifetime replacement warranty. It’s easy to clean and means jewellery will never get lost down the drain again.

The clever designs and top-notch quality means Art Plastics and Bounty Brassware should be your first choice every time. Visit the Art Plastics website to find out more at www.artplastics.com.au or call into your nearest Tradelink branch.

Zip Water: changing the way customers drink

An industry leader in instant filtered boiling, chilled and sparkling water taps, Zip Water is known worldwide for being home to the world’s most advanced drinking water systems. Thanks to Zip Water, turning on the kitchen tap isn’t just about your customers quenching their thirst. When they’ve got filtered boiled, chilled or sparkling water to choose from, it changes the way they drink.

Zip Water opened their doors for business in Australia in 1947. They thought outside the square back then and have been innovating, advancing and perfecting their drinking water technology in the decades since – something they still do today. They also proudly provide the purest tasting, safest and cleanest water possible from their range of HydroTaps to homes in over 70 countries across the world.

The Zip Water Classic HydroTap is a favourite suited to any home and offers the choice of instant filtered boiling, chilled or sparkling water, or all three in any combination. The range of finishes has been designed to sit seamlessly in a wide range of kitchen designs, from contemporary to traditional.

Featuring a single under-bench command centre, with full colour interactive touch screen display with pin code protection, the Classic HydroTap offers two boiling water safety modes, three energy saving modes, including sensor activated "sleep when it’s dark", 0.2 micron water filtration, and two disposable CO2 cylinders.

The technology behind the HydroTap is fourth generation and is truly cutting edge.

The unique air-cooled refrigeration system is 100 percent water efficient, unlike water cooled systems. The innovative Zip Power-Pulse technology maintains stored boiling water to within 0.2°C of the set temperature, meaning no energy or time is wasted waiting for water to boil. And the advanced auto-diagnostics system continuously monitors the HydroTap’s performance.

The HydroTap houses the latest in advanced energy efficient technology, offering your customers a sustainable choice. It utilises air-cooled technology, making the HydroTap 100% water efficient while also providing smart energy saving modes that turn the power down when the unit is not in use.

Transforming the way people drink, Zip’s advanced water filtration, functionality and cutting-edge technology leaves owners with a taste that’s irresistible.

Visit your local Tradelink branch to find out more about the Zip Water range.

The humble ute – an Aussie legend

Picture this: a white ute cruising down an outback road, kicking up dust behind it. Is there anything more iconically Aussie? So what is it that we love so much about our humble utes? Read on to find out!

  • Designed by Aussies for Aussies: Australian manufacturer Ford invented the utility vehicle after Henry Ford received a letter in 1932 from an unnamed farmer's wife in Victoria who asked for “a vehicle to go to church in on a Sunday and which can carry our pigs to market on Mondays”. Ford designed the first ute called ‘coupe utility’, which was released in 1934 and well, we haven’t looked back since!

  • Work & play: Utes aren’t just good for carrying your tools of the trade – they’re great for managing all areas of your life from the school drop-offs/pick-ups, to towing the essential weekend goods like your caravan, fishing or camping gear, dirt bikes or even your four-legged mate.
  • Easy to clean: If you transport items like beach/camping gear or bikes in the back of your SUV, you’re going to have a bad time cleaning it up after. With a ute? No problem! All you need to do is hose down the tray when you’re done!
  • The image: Don’t deny it. One of the key reasons we love our utes is the cred we get from them. Nothing says Aussie bloke quite like a ute.

How to start the new financial year on the right foot

New year resolutions needn’t be reserved for January 1. Having just turned the page on a new financial year, how about you make a pledge to start it on the right foot. Here’s how.

Keep your records in order. Whether you’re a business owner or a wage earner, it’s essential to keep your records in order throughout the year. Your vehicle’s glovebox was never meant to be a filing cabinet! Get a new and better system – be it electronic or manual – and stick with it.

Know where to get help. Navigating Australia’s tax system and your obligations under it isn’t exactly a walk in the park. But you don’t have to go it alone. Get yourself an accountant or tax agent and leave the hard stuff to them. Remember, the Australia Tax Office is there to help too. Give them a call and ask that burning question. Don’t be a mug and pretend to know it all.

Review your business plan. As a business owner, know where you want your business to go in the next 12 months and make a plan that will take you there.

Prepare a budget. Take time out to estimate your income and expenses for the year. Forewarned is forearmed! Take steps now to ensure you end the year in the black.

Check your finance. Whether it’s personal or business finance, don’t just stick with what you’ve got because it’s easy, make sure you’re getting the best possible deal. It’s also important to confirm the finance you have available will let you achieve all that you’ve got planned. Checking things doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll need to pull the plug and change banks. But understanding what other financial providers offer puts you in a powerful position to negotiate something better.
