Tradelink Coronavirus Update: Australia-Wide

A message to our customers

Tradelink branches remain open and trading; as an essential service, we know it’s critical that you have access to plumbing supplies, and we’ll continue to follow the government and public health advice to ensure your safety when visiting our branches.

As we continue to navigate this current wave of COVID-19, we ask customers and visitors to our branches to follow the established COVID-safe practices whilst on our premises.

Signage will be clearly displayed at the entry point requesting customers scan in using the relevant state check-in app.

To ensure we can continue to trade safely there are COVID-Safe business practices in place, these include:

  • Masks remain mandatory and must be worn when entering Tradelink premises.
  • Social distancing with a minimum of 1.5m to be always maintained.A branch capacity limit is now in place and is displayed via posters.
  • Additional cleaning schedules are in place to ensure both the safety of our customers and staff.
  • Contactless customer pick-up or delivery. We encourage all customers to utilise our contactless options.

As the situation continues to evolve, some branches may be impacted with temporary closures where team members are required to isolate. Where possible, if your local Tradelink branch is affected, we’ll reach out directly via SMS. Please continue to check this site for the most up-to-date information. Following the announcement by the state government, from 5.00pm Thursday 12 August 2021 ACT will enter a seven- day lockdown to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Tradelink will be taking additional measures to ensure we remain open and trading in all ACT branches to support you as an essential service.

Our branches remain accessible to essential workers via one entry and exit point.


Masks remain mandatory

You must wear a fitted face mask in ACT (indoors and outdoors) where you cannot socially distance.


Government QR Code Check – In App

In line with Government guidelines, you are still required to register your visit to Tradelink branches with the Check In ACT QR Code. Flyers have been printed and are accessible throughout our branch network for you to use, hands-free.


Additional Requirements for branches in affected areas:

Following the announcement by the state government, from 4.00pm Sunday 8 August 2021, Cairns and Yarrabah communities will enter a three-day lockdown ending 11 August at 4pm to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Tradelink will be taking additional measures to ensure we remain open and trading in all Cairns branches to support you as an essential service. The below branches will be impacted;

  • Tradelink Cairns – Anderson St
  • Tradelink Edmonton
  • Tradelink Smithfield
  • Tradelink Mareeba

Tradelink Coronavirus Update: NSW Renovations & Maintenance

The government regulations in relation to the renovation of homes where people are living and repairs, maintenance and cleaning are changing from 31 July 2021.


Until 31 July 2021:

  • Renovations must stop in Greater Sydney, including the Blue Mountains, Wollongong, Central Coast, and Shellharbour local government areas.
  • If you live in Greater Sydney, including the Blue Mountains, Wollongong, Central Coast, and Shellharbour local government areas, restrictions apply to repairs, maintenance, and cleaning services that can be provided in your home.


From 31 July 2021:

  • Renovations of homes where people are living can resume in Greater Sydney, including the Blue Mountains, Wollongong, Central Coast, and Shellharbour local government areas (except for the Blacktown, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Liverpool and Parramatta local government areas).
  • The restrictions that apply to repairs, maintenance and cleaning services will change in Greater Sydney, including the Blue Mountains, Wollongong, Central Coast, and Shellharbour local government areas (except for the Blacktown, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Liverpool and Parramatta local government areas) where renovations, repairs and maintenance are permitted:
    • In an outdoor area, no more than five persons can undertake work at the same time;
    • In an indoor area, no more than two persons can undertake work at the same time; and
    • If work is occurring in an indoor area on the premises, and other persons (such as members of the household) are present at the premises, the other persons must stay in a separate indoor area of the premises from the persons undertaking the work at all times.
  • In the Blacktown, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Liverpool and Parramatta local government areas, restrictions on renovations, repairs, maintenance and cleaning services that can be provided in your home will continue to apply until further notice.

Following yesterday’s announcement by the Victorian government, from 11:59pm Thursday 15 July restrictions across Victoria have changed to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Tradelink will be taking additional measures to ensure we can continue to remain open and trading to support you as an essential service. Our branches remain accessible only to essential workers via one entry and exit point.


Masks remain mandatory

You must wear a fitted face mask in Victoria when;

  • in public indoor areas when you cannot remain socially distanced
  • using public transport, hire vehicles, taxis and rideshare services
  • waiting for public transport at a bus or light rail stop, train station or ferry wharf

If you are indoors or outdoors alone and can physically social distance, you do not need to wear a face mask.

Following today’s announcement by the QLD Government, impacted branches in the greater Queensland region have implemented additional restrictions as we enter a three-day lockdown, effective 6pm Tuesday 29th June (to be reviewed Friday 2nd Jul).

Tradelink branches remain open and will continue trading as an essential service.


Masks remain mandatory

You must wear a fitted face mask in impacted branches in South – East Queensland.

Following Monday’s announcement by the WA Government, impacted branches in the Perth and Peel regions are to enter a four-day lockdown, effective 12.01am Tuesday 29th June and ending 12.01am Saturday 3rd July.

Tradelink branches remain open and will continue trading as an essential service.

You must wear a fitted face mask in impacted branches in Perth and Peel regions.

Following Monday’s announcement by the NT Government, impacted branches in the Greater Darwin Areas are to enter an extended lockdown period for a further 72 hours until 1pm on Friday 2 July 2021.

Following yesterday’s announcement by the NSW Government on changes for Greater Sydney, Central Coast, the Blue Mountains, Wollongong and Shellharbour local government, there are a number of additional changes that we at Tradelink will be taking to ensure we can continue to remain open and trade safely over the next two weeks.

Masks remain mandatory

You must wear a fitted face mask in Greater Sydney and the Blue Mountains, Wollongong and Shellharbour local government areas when:

  • in public indoor areas including retail
  • using public transport, hire vehicles, taxis and rideshare services
  • waiting for public transport at a bus or light rail stop, train station or ferry wharf

To ensure we can continue to trade safely there are additional Covid Safe Business requirements effective immediately, these include:

  • Additional cleaning protocols: Updated Covid Cleaning schedules have been implemented in affected branches to ensure both the safety of our customers and staff.
  • Hand sanitiser and contact tracing QR codes are placed at all entry points. Please utilise these as instructed.
  • Social distancing indoors: Please ensure a minimum of 1.5m is maintained at all times. A branch capacity limit is now in place and is displayed via posters for customers to see.
  • Contactless customer pick- up or delivery: To further reduce the spread of COVID-19, we advise all customers to utilise our contactless delivery services.

Tradelink Coronavirus Updates: Western Australia

As per Western Australian Government updates provided yesterday, all non – essential construction and maintenance work must be halted. However essential maintenance jobs that need immediate action can be carried out.

Under the directions of the Western Australian Government, all Tradelink branches will remain open and ready to service our customers. Our showroom entrances will be closed as only one point of entry and access will be accessible so that we can implement the COVID Safe practices put in place. These include;

  • Social Distancing, continued hygiene practice and use of hand sanitiser
  • Contract Tracing – all visitors must provide their contact details
  • Compulsory mask wearing – all team members and customers must wear a mask
